THE global event that unites people across the continents through one simple action — switching off non-essential lights for an hour — is back once again!
The event aims to remind people of the immediate need to fight climate change that has threatened to harm nature.
Initiated by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) in 2007, the Earth Hour event had since been adopted by many cities in the world.
It is estimated that nearly one billion people joined the event last year in 4,100 cities in 87 countries, including Malaysia that participated for the first time officially.
